  • Special exhibition and program fees will be charged at regular rates in addition to student discount general admission fees.
  • If a professor wishes to pay in advance for class members who will visit the Museum individually, he or she may do so.  Tickets will be kept for students in "will call" at the Museum's front desk.
  • No general admission fee will be charged for faculty accompanying a group, or for faculty on a pre-visit in advance of a class trip.
  • For groups of 20 or more and for all museum-led special programs, faculty should pre-schedule by contacting the Museum's Group Scheduling Office at 616.929.1754 or groupsscheduling@grmuseum.org.

  • Faculty wishing to schedule a guest lecturer should contact the Museum's Group Scheduling Office at 616.929.1754 or groupsscheduling@grmuseum.org.
  • Faculty may request a short-term loan of objects from the Museum's collections for use in a class.  Loans may be granted subject to special conditions.  A fee will be assessed based on the amount of preparation and on-site Museum staff time required.  Inquiries should be directed to Marilyn Merdzinski, Director of Collections and Preservation at mmerdzinski@grmuseum.org or 616.929.1801.

  • The Grand Rapids Public Museum encourages mutually beneficial research, exhibitions, publications, planning, and other collaborative projects with academic faculty and student classes.  To discuss your ideas or present a proposal for collaboration, please contact Chris Carron, Director of Education, Interpretation, and Research at ccarron@grmuseum.org or 616.929.1715, or, Marilyn Merdzinski, Director of Collections and Preservation at mmerdzinski@grmuseum.org or 616.929.1801.
  • Standard fees may be waived for collaborative visits or projects at the discretion of Museum department directors.
